Throttle Linkage

i've been looking at this kit on OldMiniBikes and i can't find any diy's or instructions on how it installs.

i'm using one of these styles
https://www.amazon.com/Throttle-Gri...8&qid=1496949668&sr=8-1&keywords=7/8+throttle

i really hate it. i rode around for a few minutes in the yard and my throttle hand was killing me. the twist takes so much effort that i can't get any fun out of it. i have to really crank down on it to get max throttle. sometimes i won't even reach it. i did loosen the throttle on the engine so it moves and returns freely. the throttle tube isn't catching on the bars and the cable moves freely. it's just a bad system.

so can i get a nice smooth, quick throttle by using the OldMiniBikes kit? can anyone link me to a diy thread on how to install?

quick edit: since i alread have a throttle cable and grips, would it be possible to trim the cable i have to fit the throttle linkage kit that doesn't have the grips included (https://www.OldMiniBikes.com/predator-engine-throttle-kit.html) and save a few bucks?

Option number three should work for ya.
And yes, you can trim cable to length.
You have pics of you current set up.
Shouldn't be that hard to turn the throttle.

okay guys, i broke down and bought the throttle linkage from OldMiniBikes warehouse. i really like the kit but the directions are very lacking. once i figured out where everything connected it was fine. i had to cut my stock throttle lever and remove the washers from the pull cover. the metal arm is in contact with the stock trottle linkage so some trimming will be in the future.

the original issue i was having was with the throttle housing. it's cheaply made and poorly designed (it was really inexpesive though). i took it apart and put a little lithium grease and made slgiht adjustment and everything is peachy now. throttle isn't as snappy as i like, but it works and returns to zero quickly. also twists very easily. now i can do wheelies again, haha.

thank you for the help everyone.

i think the biggest problem with the throttle i got was that it takes a 90* bend instead of being stright out of the bottom. if it went straight out it would probably hit my knee, so i guess it's the lesser of two evils.
