I was putting around my mountain wanting to test if I repaired the spring loaded seat, I had. It now is back to normal.
I was running wide open back to the house and was not impressed with the bikes top speed for a governed engine. I pulled into my garage and adjusted the carb jet to allow a little more gas and air into the cylinder. The top speed increased by ten MPH bringing the bike up to 40 MPH. This is a lot better.
I put a few miles on the bike riding over the high plains through grasses and dirt. The engine ran a little hotter but still within design specs.
high speed run.40 MPH, not too bad considering the tires are 4 PSI and all the stuff I carry.
entering the Plains. It's nice to be away from rocks. Just grasses and dirt.
doing a slow climb of about 500 feet. everything smeled so nice and it was 88 degrees and bone dry.
Into the Pinion trees
The mountains in the distance are 28 miles away. The air is so clear they look closer.
Now into the Choya Cactus. Not a plant you want to run into. The thorns are sharp,long and covered in a bacteria that your puncture wound really takes a long time to heal. They do have pretty blooms once a year.
Heading home. I live 1/2 way up the mountain ahead.
My front drive is very steep. The T/C got very hot.
When I posted the clutch cover would burn you I was not kidding.
The GPS has all the data I needed. The Carb adjustment really paid off.
