We are a family of pack rats. We all grab things that will be useful in the future. We shuffle "stuff" from one place to another just to prioritize one certain project.
I’m guilty as charged, but after quite a hiatus, started selling on eBay again. I’ve been steadily converting my valuable junk into (more) money (than you’d expect), then using that on stuff that I have more immediate use for. It’s going to take some time to move the needle on storage space sending away things in little boxes, but some shelves are definitely being cleared!

I'm sorry it has been a while since I took these pictures. The weather was nice enough to get outside and decide what to plant and where to plant it this year. One past garden had blueberry bushes beside it, and they were pitiful. Since I retired, the blueberry bushes have gone crazy. We had to call friends and neighbors to pick berries after we picked our freezer limit. This year, that former garden will be planted with blueberries and apple trees. Much less work and fruit forever! Wifey wanted to know what changed when I retired. I told her I go out and talk to the plants everyday.
Anyway, the parts washer is pretty impressive. I cleaned some firearm parts in it using Dawn dish soap. Results were not satisfactory, but it was a first attempt at an experiment. Here's my setup as it sits now: IMG_20260227_114124.jpg IMG_20260227_114150.jpg
I added 1 gallon or RV antifreeze and three gallons of water. I don't want to keep changing fluid all year, so this will stay in there. When I do drain it, this is less toxic than other types of antifreeze "in case it gets spilled on the ground". IMG_20260227_114407.jpg I bought several of the plastic bins to separate solvent from my antifreeze. IMG_20260227_114220.jpg That is an almost complete AH47 kart engine in the basket. That is bigger than any modern chainsaw engine. Without that mount and carburetor, I might get three of these in there. IMG_20260227_114508.jpg Needed accessory. IMG_20260227_114417.jpg
I plan to try this for cleaning small carburetors. Pouring this in a plastic container and placing it inside the cleaner with the antifreeze, I think I can buzz two containers, one gallon each with carbs and Pines Sol at the same time.
My son says it looks like an expensive air freshener.
