Looks like a tongue jack plate off of a trailer to me? (turn it over and imagine a trailer tongue about a foot and a half past the closed angle):shrug:
I see the resemblance to a trailer jack plate, but typically the jack flanges are are 3-hole, not 4. Also the slotted holes are not typical for a jack mount. My guess is that the bracket is for something other than a trailer.
It is not a trailer jack plate. The 4 holes do line up with the bolt pattern on the clutch side of a Tecumseh motor but is at slight angle to horizontal. Do Rupps with the slant motors have these?
