Update! And simple question

#1
Hiya Folks!

We completed our minibike build a week or two ago, after 3 month FUN build! My son and I are having the time of our lives on it....he is SO proud that "we built it"! And I am like a little kid reliving the same sense of exhilaration, fear of getting caught lol. I know you all know what I mean I will post some pictures soon.

The final list of components:

Predator Engine (non hemi)
Arc Flywheel and Rod
SS valves
14cc head (ported and polished by son :))
HOnda 0.625 carb
Mod 2 cam
Governer removed
Free Flow exhaust
1.3 rocker on intake
Relocated fuel tank

GTC Torque converter (seems to be holding up fine even with my 215 lb butt on it...climbs hills easily, but I know we are at power limit)

The thing is a TORQUE MONSTER. Way more power than I expected!!!! Had it up to 52 MPH.. felt stable, and feel RPMs limited by TAV....but PLENTY (OK, TOO) fast at WOT lol

Here's my question....

Now that I have figured out the "knack" for starting it......it starts easily when cold, but seems to sometimes be difficult after it runs hot and is shut down. I can eventually get it started by shutting fuel off and pulling starter a few times, then reoping fuel?
I don't really smell gas

Any thoughts????

By the way....THANK YOU so much for all the help on this project!!
