Using a lash cap in intake?

Get yourself a magnetic base and make a base to bolt onto the block. you can add holes for multiple engines. it will hold the dial indicator, you can get them cheap at harbor freight or ebay.

Will adding a lash cap and correct retainer to the intake side on a stock clone motor give a noticeable seat of your pants results? OR is this mainly for performance engines?

I'm only running air filter/ jet and exhaust upgrades at the moment. I did just order a 14cc head so will be looking at head/ valve work in the very near future.

No it will add no power at all. I just thought it would wear the lash cap instead of the valve tip but after installing one it throws the valve train geometry off and doing so will wear out the valve guide.
