R.E.M. - Crush With Eyeliner - 1994

Cooool guitar sound! (Thurston Moore, I think)

Question for guitarists: Is this tremolo effect?

Hard to say which box they are using as there are so many out there but it's not just simple tremolo. Could easily be an AdrenaLinn from Roger Linn Design which allows you to sync to the beat. A good example of it are the pulsing guitar chords on Green Day's Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.

Weather Report - The Pursuit of the Woman with the Feathered Hat - Sure wish these guys were still around and playing!

Brand X - Nightmare Patrol - Some nice crunch guitar from Goodsall at 5:25 . And the usual brilliant bass playing from Percy Jones.

Ultra Vox - Private Lives (2008 Remaster) - Another band that should have had more success. While all the keyboard aces jumped on MiniMoogs, Billy Currie showed everyone what you could do on an Arp Odyssey! Beautiful, elegant lines ... I could listen to him solo all day.

The Order Of Death - Public Image - from the film "Hardware" (1990) - I used the link from the track as used in the film for the wack visuals. The actual track starts around .43 mark. BTW - that's Iggy (Pop) as the voice of Angy Bob at the beginning.
