What is it, Can anyone pin down the Year and Model of this Bike, can find absolutely no info online, 400X or Rebel, decals reflect that last year

The base model of your bike is a 400X, The first couple digits of the serial # will designate the year. The serial # is on the leading edge of the engine mount plate. The bike pictured below as an example is a 1970 model.

Yea that is a late R4001 "Rebel" this still had leftovers of them in 1976 (the $106 scribbled on the bottom of the sheet indcates what you it would cost an employee of muskin for one of the remaining 35 they had in stock in late 1976). The engine on it post dates the bike though by at least 15 years and is originally off a Snowblower, Still a really clean, well done build! catrebel.jpg

Thanks a lot, would happen to know where I could get a copy of that manual or maybe a copy of the 1975 Cat catalog
