Wayne, Back in August of 1960 Science and Mechanics ran an article about making a minibike from scrap pipe and old bicycle parts. After looking at your picture I am certain that your minibike is one that was constructed from those plans. I was 13 at the time and I made one from old water pipe, a couple of old wheels, and a 2hp Briggs that we had lying around the farm. Thanks for the memories. Ogy

built with blueprints from 25 best projects on wheels,1960 Edition of science and
mechanics No-568; it was called a powercycle,,most of the material was to come
from a automobil wrecking yard,part of list,`48 ford tie rod ends' 35-48 mercury tie rod
1949 mercury sway bar,1935-48 ford tie rod clamps-7" pully from chevy-olds or
pontiac water pump, for rear wheel pully-fenders to be maid from pieces of car body
sheet metal witch is soft and can be easily cut and bent to the shapes shown,,
1952-1954 chevy propeller shaft for frame 60" long choke or throttle for carburetor
control,1 5/8" washer for brake lever pad- 1 11/4" washer for kick stand,for power
almost any 2 or 4 cycle engine having a maximum of 2 1/2 hp could be used I E

2100 or briggs and stratton 6B or 6B-5//you could put a side cart on this
for hauling tools ! I think this is neat,what i got on ebay almost fits to a T
