    He says its a V Twin, Last I checked that's an opposed engine.

    yeah i noticed that motor i not recognize as a v twin..don't know what it is

    If I'm not mistaken it looks kinda like an Onan 18 horse. Flat 2 (boxer, opposed) 2 cylinder that what I can think of most commonly used on john deere mowers. Pretty good smooth running engines but they liked to break the starter off the block and are rather heavy. Not a bad engine but wouldn't be my first pick for a bike. Then again there are a few things about that bike that wouldn't be my first choice in design.


    I could be totally wrong. When I was playing with mowers Cubs with Kohlers were my poison of choice.

    riding position looks like you just lay on top of the gas tank..probably why dented..

    Raskin, good point. The paint chips on the tank were probably from his belt buckle.

    It looks the same as my 18hp Briggs in my Racing Mower I'm building. ( they do go up to 25hp in the same looking engine )
