    2018 build off- JFF Sark's mtd/rambler

Looking forward to participating this year. I will be working on this beauty. Since I have done a little work on it previously making a fiberglass mold of the chain guard, and i stripped and painted but wasnt happy with adhesion so I will be either sanding down and recoating or just fully stripping it again and starting over. So just for fun class mainly to stay motivated and get some work done.

Starting this build off with a little fiberglass work today, I made this mold from a chain guard off my hardtail mtd a few months back. Finally plugged it today and we'll see how it turns out , fingers crossed!

Not too bad, took about 20 minutes to coax this puppy out of the mold this morning. Fairly happy with results.

Also decided to try welding the front fender where it was all cracked through where the hardware goes. One side was punched out completely but still had the piece at least.

Spent good portion of weekend behind bench grinder/ wire wheel getting wheels and assorted parts down to bare metal. Got the sebac shocks apart wow those are a real pain! Also working on straightening fenders, looks like gonna have to paint them as the chrome is pretty pitted.

Anyone have some closeup pics of a vplex tc disassembled, mine is worn but I think salvageable. I just am not sure how worn or if something is missing. Here's what I have. The cover definitely has the hole hogged out a little and the shaft is goobered at the end. The cover spins freely even with everything tight end down, and I assume that is not correct.
