X 90 is now a pile of parts. Found more issues, frame is damaged by the foot peg tube and the left engine cover is damaged. Taking inventory and bagging and tagging everything for a nut and bolt restoration.

different day, dufferent story. Brought the frame and fork tubes to a welding shop. Was able to have the frame straightened as well as the 5 degree bends in the fork tubes. Next is a trip to the sand blaster to have them stripped. Have to see if the chrome will come off them tubes??

A day at the pick and pull netted some needed small truck parts and a bonus. A totaled Yamaha Scooter and a stripped down Suzuki 650 were near the exit. I took a look and found some very nice lightly used 3X10 tires and tubes. The 650 had a brake rod that was a bit longer than the X 90 brake rod. I grabbed it. A little detail to the tires and I shortened the brake rod, bent a 45 degree bend and drilled a cotter pin hole. I added the new spring and thumb screw nut I bought from Donald at Arm Chair Cycles. With the cleaned up slug for the rod to go through the bracket and newly re finished bracket these will be the first of many parts that will be re finished, bagged and tagged, and put in order with a checklist for the rebuild. Tires, tubes, and the brake rod only cost me $10.00 so some money saved on these will surely get spent elsewhere LOL.

So true. Not going to hurry the process. Figure it may take about a year since I have almost everything to build it. Gives me time to track down the stuff I do need.

Can you give me information on what you used for a headlight. I bought a 74 x90 and the headlight bulb is missing. Thanks.
