    ToteGote 1960 Barn Find

I found this ToteGote at an estate sale yesterday its got a 1960 briggs so I assume thats the year. I was very excited got there bright and early I was surprised nobody else was fighting over it. Very nice patina I thought it was original paint but now Im pretty sure its not. I also got a disassembled roto tiller from the sale and Im glad i did because the expanded metal sides were in with the tiller parts. And they have the original paint on them which is a lighter green. The last pic is what i believe was the original color. Im going to leave it as is. I almost dont want to ride it and get it dirty lol. All I have had time to do sofar is pump up the front tire and wipe off some of the dust. The tank clean I bet itll start right up. Its been in the shed untouched atleast 10 years probably more. Do these have any sort of rear fender? There is a little piece of aluminum hanging down from the seat to keep dirt off the head but im sure thats not original. The only other thing im concerned about is the belt. Liiks like it will work but i dont know for how long.

Nice, I think those look good in green. Gotta figure they’re good for running around on these upstate farm lands.

Great score Jeep. A few of the tote gote experts may chime in.

Great find, 1960 would be right. The green wasn't a common color for the model B. My parts drawings show a simple mud tin with a hole for the exhaust. The side screens were 1/2" expanded metal held on with 1/2" X 1/8" metal strips. Good to see a gote in such unmolested condition.

Please measure the outside length of the original belt. I would appreciate if you could send me the measurement so we know the original belt size with the Salsbury 400 clutch.

Cool thats probably the original "mud tin" then. Its beat up and missing the lower half. Do you know how tall it should be? I only have up to the hole.
The belt is a US Royal Variable Speed 1180. Its 41 1/4" long on the outside. 7/8" wide and 5/16" deep. The Shafts center to center is 13 3/16"
