    1971 Brooks Mini Survivor

Picked this up last November from a fellow member here. It was basically in pieces and very dirty, and had been spray bombed over in many areas with pink, white and green paint. I threw it in the back of the shed thinking it would stay there till I was ready to restore it. I pretty much forgot about it till I was cleaning out the shed recently and thought to myself crap, why don’t I try and clean it up and put it back together and see how it looks...it sports it’s original engine also. Even all the bearings are still good! The black paint over the blue is factory original....I’ve seen pics of others with the same pant deal...Luckily I had Karen make me a new seat when I bought it and it turned out great too!

Thanks all... Got a question maybe you all can help me on... I want to restore it, but she's pretty much a survivor... do I restore, or do I have the rear fender and Jackshaft cover chromed and leave as is?

    That's beautiful.

My vote is to leave as is, and chrome those two bits.

Over time I have grown to really appreciate the originality in older things, and to preserve that when possible. I would not restore.

That turned out to be a nice bike and I would leave it original and I believe they are only original once.

Thanks all for the compliments! I will leave it as is and get the fender and jackshaft cover chromed...
Does anybody know where or if replacement springs for the Betor shocks are available?
