    Id help

    Hi Guys,
I picked up a Tecumseh that is supposed to be a 60's era H60. It has the tin tag on the blower/starter cover but the tag does not say H anything. Heres the numbers off the tag.

    Model 143-586222
    Serial 9260 07565

What is it? And where can I get a gasket set for it?

    Thank you,
    Jeff

I would guess early 70's or so, off of a snowblower.

I have a suspicion that block does not match that tag number. Did they use textured paint on the shroud?

    Thanks Freddy and Markus
The shroud was either sand blasted or soda blasted. The texture look is pitting from rust. I'll be addressing that when I repaint. I pulled the head when it arrived. The bore looks pretty nice with cross hatching still visible. I will wait for a new head gasket to check compression numbers. Given the rust pitting and the non drilled crank I guess snowblower engine would make sense. I have a old Rupp roadster frame that has been in my shed for a few years. I'm going to use this with that frame to make a Rupp rat bike. After building the Black Widow, It's just to expensive to do another proper Rupp restoration.
