    Jackshaft/ Gearing/ High end Low end?

    Replacing 3hp briggs w/ 6.5 powertec Techumseh. Old setup was w/ briggs,12 tooth clutch, 60 tooth sprocket, 13" rear tire(6" rim)-Not enough low end , good top end. 6.5 sits between frame rails nicely, but does not align w/ sprocket so im gonna go with a jackshaft setup. Im not all that...

    I was checking out a 6.5 power sports engine that a friend has, a good deal @ $150 w/ low hours. Im looking for any pros/cons advice before i buy it. It'll be going on my bike that currently has a 3 hp briggs, but not enough low end. Any thoughts?

    What is this thing?

    Got this bike mid 90's, the rear wheel and sprocket is the only other original parts ( although the bike could be homemade). Always rode with a 3 hp briggs, did pretty good with my 160 lbs on it. Probably not any kind of collectable in its current state, but this bike was my first love. 15 years...
