6.5 Powersport

I was checking out a 6.5 power sports engine that a friend has, a good deal @ $150 w/ low hours. Im looking for any pros/cons advice before i buy it. It'll be going on my bike that currently has a 3 hp briggs, but not enough low end. Any thoughts?

Hi I also Have a Tecumseh power sport motor 6.5 on my mini chopper and I ended up having to put a comet torq a verter on it because It needed more low end but that bike flies now about 55mph and it will burnout in gravel now no prob. Also thats a great deal for the motor I paid 175 for mine and it was used and ive never had a problem with it yet.

Hey thanks for the heads up, ive heard/read that the techumseh can be a little tempermental and was hoping to get some basic flat out advice on general usage and matinence. Very disapointed w/ the forums so far. Lots of great wisdom there but ask a simple question and left in the dark for weeks. oh well my bike is only gettin stronger/faster/better/more awesome and the more bikes the better. Thanks
