Anybody know if Briggs & Stratton have sleaves for the 5hp flatheads? I have 2 blocks that have siezed due to scoring the cylinder and I want to repair them since I have all the parts to build them back up. I talked to a guy at a mcahine shop and he couldn't help me since it was a small engine.

what type of clamps are you folks using for the cylinder & oblong fuel tanks& where are they sold?:shrug:not the zip ties either

hi, just wondering if any one knows any tricks to puting rings in a cylinder without ring compressor?

Is there a specific reason why the cylinder on a clone is pointed backwards as it's mounted on a frame? Why couldn't Honda or whoever design them so the cylinder points towards the front? I think it would look a hell of a lot better. Am I missing something obvious?

I Have a briggs flathead 5hp that broke a rod. The cylinder wall looks pretty good and has only 2 light scratches that i can feel with my fingernail. Should i do anythjng with the cylinder.
