Is the 6.5 carb the same size as the 5.5 carb?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the HS40, and HS50...from the outside? Thanks for any help.

I was just wondering if someone knew exactly what parts are interchangable between the two?

I am rebuilding a HS40 and have a HS50 that the case is all beat up. Is it possible to bore a HS40 out and put the crank and piston from a HS50 inside of it. Also, what are the differences between the two. I know the intake and exhaust ports and bore size, and crank are different, besides that...

What is the difference between the carb with canister off the bottom and the one without? Is the canister a float bowl? My carb has no canister.

I put the clutch off the engine I took off a go kart I bought and put in on my mini along with the engine. Should I have used the clutch from the previous engine? I have not put them side by side yet to look at #'s on them yet. This is a from the recliner ?.

Why are there three holes(dipstick and two for adding oil) for oil on the 5hp and only one on the 6hp? Also, my 5hp was born in 2006 and the 6hp was born in 95/96. Is there much difference in the engines because of that fact?

What are the differences between the Tecumseh H50 & HS50 engines? I was wondering about this question today and could not find a thread on this subject. Thanks for your help!!!!
