Anyone here have any experience with the Yamaha XJ's (namely 550's)? I picked up an '81 with 16k on the clock that needs valvetrain TLC (looooots of it) for a $100 bill. Rest of the bike is in good, but not great shape. Transmission is immaculate. Anyone know of any parts sources? :smile:

Got this a few weeks ago in a trade for some other items, 1983 Yamaha tri moto 125 . Starts runs and idles fine . Lights work , all the gears work great , plastics r not cracked or broke , seat has no tears , does need some new brake pads and the choke cable is broke . Starts without using it...
