5hp powersport

alright well i came across this forum while i was doing some research on a tecumseh 5hp powersport engine i got. i just got it today and started doing some work on it. i was wondering what the little metal switch beside the starter does? i have been looking at it but cant figure it out. it also needs a bowl for the carb and i was wondering where i might be able to find one localy. i was also wondering if it had a choke? i belive the engine said model oh50. i just started work on a go cart trying to get it up and running. any help would be highly appreciated and any pictures of what the engine should look like when it is all put together would be great because i can only find one picture on the web and its all the same picture!

You might try your local phone book for a Tecumseh dealer near you if you want parts locally. If you want there web sites out there that carry parts. Look at Willards small engine. he has a lot of parts and he also sells on ebay, his web is shakyparts.com
