6.5 black clone hunting problem

engine runs best in 1/2 to 3/4 choke and hunts in idle and full throttle and i have to slightly press the gas to keep it from stalling in idle. Lean jet? im new to clones so any help is appreciated. Im thinking a richer jet maybe a #90, and a gx140 emulsion tube would help it.

Any mods to the motor?

The jet you need to go slightly bigger on is the pilot not the main. Its a plastic insert plug under the idle adjuster screw.

Yup, it needs more gas. Open up the idle jet.

the engine is completly stock. Il open up the pilot jet and see if that helps it any.

Also check the carb for dirt and junk! Hunting is usually caused by a dirty carb! Dirt can clog the main jet! Also are you using fresh gas..bad gas can cause this as well! Just a little more food for thought!
