It's a love hate thing for me with Baja bikes, they allow for guilt free modifications but you find their weaknesses pretty quickly. Flexing engine plates on the DBs and jackshaft tensioner and gearing issues on the Warrior/Heat bikes but both are easy fixes and they can be formidable machines once dialed in. I am always baffled to see a DB with a stock engine still running since my kids have ridden two completely to death but these kids ride em like they stole em, one was new and one low hour and both died after a marathon riding session puking oil and losing all power. The Warrior/Heat bike engines are far better, I've only had two of the bigger bikes and like the way they ride. I see them from $50 to $500 used, they are good entry level bikes but you gotta get em cheap.
