Built A Engine For My Truck

Built a 22re that im swapping into my 1980 toyota truck. Gonna be smog legal and everything. I got a brand new engnbldr head with oversized valves, rv valve springs, and their 261c Crawler cam. I also got their 4 piece front set that includes a new steel rail timing kit, Timing Cover, Oil Pump, and Water Pump. And then i called up 22re performance and ordered a gasket seal kit, a new fuel filter, injectors, injector seal kit etc....

Thats a great engine to build. youll never have a hard time finding parts.
I had a 22RET- factory installed turbo in a 86 4x4 pickup, I got a 175,000mi out of it before it died.

I lived on Guam for a few years. They raced the heck out of these. I recall a pickup running in the 11's with one, and a VW hatch back with a turbo version that ran 9's with spectacular burnouts.

Very cool motors, and especially cool to get a built one that will pass CA smog.
