Chain issue

I've trying to finish 3 of my 4 bikes, everything is done with the exception of the chain. I've got everything measured. But the chains keep getting thrown. I think it is an alignment issue, does anyone have any tips and tricks on getting chains to sit right??

Straight stick or metal bar from sprocket to sprocket. They should line up, if one is way off it needs moved over.
