Chain slipped from jackshaft

#1
Earlier today I was about to race a doodlebug on my Fox Spoiler and off the line my rear chain slipped from my jackshaft. I noticed there is a bit of movement with the shaft inside the bearings so would that mean I just need a new shaft in general? When I move the shaft away from the back tire the chain gets tighter and as it sits it's a bit loose. If anyone has an idea please reply thanks!

The bearing race is harder than the shaft, I would replace both bearings and shaft if you plan on keeping/riding the bike, what do you mean by the chain slipped from the jackshaft?.............Did the chain fall off because it's too loose?............Or is it skipping on the drive sprocket teeth?..........Post some pics................Tom.

Looks like the shaft is wore out. Looks smaller than the bearing ID. Sticking bearings wear the shaft ends out. Replace shaft and bearings. Maybe the old bearings wore the shaft but replace with all new parts.
