Yes they can be honed. Use the finest stone you can get and lots of lube. aluminum bores are tough to get right.
2.562" is max. on the 130000 series block, then you should go oversize.
dont forget to wash the block in hot soapy water afterwards this is important.

Ok, I'm learning on these engines.

If a chrome piston, what type of rings as the cast iron or chrome rings will kill alum......IMO. It is the rings that seal and have to slide on the cylinder walls......

you must use the right hone for aluminum cylinders. there not all the same.
your looking for aluminum oxyde grit,not silicon carbide as sold at most places.
a.o. used for aluminum,s.c. used for iron,bronze,ect.
