well baja sent me 2 pull starters and a new gas tank under warrnaty...

My problem is that it will not start.. It will start by shooting carb cleaner in carb but only run for a few seconds. I took the carb off and blew out the insides and jets, replaced rusted gas tank with all new and new spark plug... check all the connections.... it is the 97cc engine
Like I said it has been a long time since I worked on small engines but can someone please let me know what I am missing here....

Thanks for you help and support

it sounds like you may still have some rust cought up inside the carb. also check the float and see if it's level and that all areas of the carb are blown out with carb cleaner and with a air gun too:thumbsup:
thats a start and then see:thumbsup: goodluck

Delray,

cleaned card fully
blew out with air tool
float goes up and down and bowl fills with gas.
cleaned pin for pilot jet (i guess connected to float) and could not force air thru center cylinder that connects bolt for bowl..

What am I forgetting...

Once again will start by spraying carb cleaner but only run for 5 seconds..

got center jet out and it was clogged fully
will let you know if that fixes the issue...

Maybe get the 6.5 upgrade and would have a real motor on my doodle....
