Go kart throttle pedal linkage

How do you guys have your throttle pedal linkages set up? My cable keeps pulling out of the rod tha connects to the pedal.

Pictures would be helpful

Depends on how the gas pedal works.. :shrug: They all hook up differently.. Do you have pics of yours?

The BIGGEST PROBLEM on a gokart throttle is the amount of travel.. A gas pedal usually pulls the cable twice as far as it can move = broken parts..

First thing to do, is hook the cable LOW ENOUGH on the pedal, so when you mash it wide open, the cable pulls ONLY FAR ENOUGH to pull the throttle wide open..

without ripping the cable loose from the motor..

yup that or a good pedal stop so it doesnt have the travel to do that. but then you end up with a touchy pedal but you might have that anyway
