GX140 parts on Clone???

#1
Hey guys I have a GX140 laying around and I was wondering if any of the parts on it would be good for my GX200 build. I figured if anything it would just be the head and/or the ignition. I've read that the head doesnt have enough material to open up the ports enough to flow well. What about the ignition?

Thanks for any help

The ignition coil should be the same, the head has small ports and valves so requires work to get any gains (and not loose any)
Carb is smaller, crank has less stroke, most parts are different.

The only "upgrade" part from a genuine GX140 you can use on a 200 clone is the connecting rod. Even then it's not a real big upgrade with regard to strength. The 140's emulsion tube is a popular part to use for richening the low and midrange fueling. You would probably be better off leaving the GX140 as a complete engine, though, especially if it runs.
