The shaft has 3 keyways and 3 circle clip grooves .. its solid where the bearings ride ...

I posed the question of making one in another thread and it looks like that's what I'll be doing .... unless you want to donate yours .... :thumbsup:

I've made many using stock from here https://www.surpluscenter.com/shop.axd/Search?keywords=keyed+shaft

no issues with the keyway where the bearing rides.just use lock collars instead of the snaprings

There are circle clips/snap rings at both ends, near the center there is one to hold the brake puck in place ... I don't think there is room under the covers for collars ... making grooves for the clips is no problem anyway ....
