I hear ya Raskin, you don't know the half of it.
I've wanted a mini bike for at least 50 yrs no lie.
One of the slow downs was the powder coater kept
the wheels & frame for 3 months,(my fault) I
said I was in no hurry.
The power plant is a HF 212 hemi w/ 400$ worth of stuff
from HRMB & OldMiniBikes warehouse. I'am not happy with the length
of the hose on the hyd brake so I'am looking at bicycle calipers,
hoses and master cylinders.
The way I have it figured I will have $800 plus in a $300 mini bike.
Which will be fine with me. The Doodle Bug is a perfect platform
for what I'am after, A "mini bike" that I can ride the wheels off!
Although that MonsterMoto 212 for $700 would have fit the bill.
But rebuilding the Baja will be very satisfying. I will still need the
MonsterMoto to follow my buddies when they want to ride my DB!
