Old Z's make great custom bikes , lots fun to build and great riders.
Here is a couple that I have played with

Ron's Zmonster

125 cc engine , new hyd front forks , 3" added to swing arm , larger rear shocks

My Zbobber

90cc engine , spring seat , cruiser bars , 3" added to swing arm
Need to take a finished picture lol but here it is during const.

Hope you decide to build one , love to see another project log.

The only thing stock on that bike is the frame but it seems to have some mods, the tank but painted wrong color for the year and the hubs look stock but thats about it. Looks cool though.

searching "1973 z50" I found more info.

killer pics of some killer bikes

It started as a 1973 Z50. I got a set of MR50 forks off ebay for $45 and made my own triple clamps, bar risers, kick stand and brake pedal, all out of billet. The emblem on the tank is from a 1970-71 Z50. The rims are 10 inch and the swing arm is extended 4 inches. I am still waiting for a Kitaco 4 inch over swingarm from classic honda but they are very slow. The motor, which I built myself has a Trailbikes 88cc Big bore/race head and manual clutch and the original 1973 bottom end, high volume oil pump ect. the exhaust and tail section are also from classic honda as well as the shift pedal.

Didn't see that at Classic Honda..??

Thanks

Earl

I am doing this color scheme on my K1 restore

I like the black wheels and that gloss black.

Also cheaper and easier than the metallics.

I have: z50 K1s, 1973 K4, 1976, 1979 Z50R, K1 CT70, 1979 CT90, Trailmate and many Arctic Cats.

Thanks for looking.

Earl
