hs 40 oil leak

#2
It's pretty common and a pain in the ass to keep wiping it up. There is nothing mechanical present to seal it, and the aluminum wears around the gov shaft. I've considered a tad of epoxy like JB weld to close it up. Also considered an o-ring, or felt collar to slow things down.

Haven't done any of it. I suppose a good fix would be to install a bushing, but that would require hogging out the hole, and pressing a bushing in.

So I continue to wipe oil up. Lucky, there doesn't seem to be as much escaping from the gov hole, as escapes from the filler caps. (running hills, tilting bike, etc)
