HS40 shaft question...

So ive got a Tecumseh HS40-55565k 4hp horizontal shaft and I decided to build a go kart with it but I looked at the shaft and there is no hole in the end of it like i've seen on all other engine shafts. My question is, would there be anyway to drill and tap the shaft and if so what sizes? Or would it be better to buy a new shaft that has a threaded hole in the end, if buying one is even possible??

I would drill it out, but i bought one of the fancy fixtures that allows for a straight hole. A machine shop can make quick work of that!

OldMiniBikes sells a kit that makes drilling the crank easy. Check it out. Someone will link it, I'm too lazy tonight
