HS50 carb high speed jet leaking

I put in a new kit and the high speed jet leaks. Any tricks on sealing this? It leaks around the threads.

Do you have the small rubber o-ring on there? There should be a washer ,after the spring then the rubber o- ring.

Yep, new oring, washer and jet screw.....

Hmmm Check to make sure the o-ring didn't get tore. Are you sure its not the small gasket under the bowl?

if you put in a new o ring and washer, I doubt its leaking from the jet screw. Did you change the washer under the bowl nut? if not it could be coming from there. How about the larger O-Ring, the one that seals the bowl? if that one is old or is even sitting in there wrong, it's gonna leak....it shouldn't be too big either, you should have to strech it a little over the lip it sits on! Then sort of push and twist the bowl back over the O-ring until it stops. If you have it on right, the bowl will sit on there without the screw even being on! it should be a tight seal! good luck, hopefully you'll find it quick.

I found the culprit, check out the difference in the new jet screw to the old. On the new the threads go much higher and so the rubber oring doesn't have a smooth part to seal against. Cheap junk. Glad I didn't toss the old one.....

It didn't have a brand on the bag but it came from MFG Supply.
