Hunting Idle

Hi, new guy here. I have a Baja mini-Baja with the 5.5 Honda clone engine. I cannot get the bike to idle correctly no matter what I do. The idle is constantly going up and down. The carb is new and the low idle is clean and so is the main jet. Anyone have any ideas I can try? What is the stock setting supposed to be for the idle/air mixture screw? If it is all the way in the idle hunts worse than about 2 full turns out from fully seated.

The engine is stock and the governor is hooked-up.

Welcome to OldMiniBikes.
I start at about 1 1/2 turns from seated.
If you can figure it out, post some pics. Bet you don't have linkage hooked up right.

Thanks...that is exactly what it was. I have had this thing sitting for several years and at some point must have screwed-up the placement of the return spring.
