When they privatized my job they vested all the employees no matter how many years they had it and my check should be about 10 times that.....not enough to live on but it sure will make for a damn nice new truck payment.

I took early retirement also from my 11 years in the union and social Security back in 2006 and I am glad I did. I just have to pay too much for my rent @ about 60% of my total. Ed enjoy what you get and keep working.

Ed, congrats on the money. It takes living on a fixed income for awhile to fully appreciate what an extra $75 means. Lucky it aint $275, because then you'd get $200 taxed and be back where you are now.
