idle adjustment help on 212 predator help

i have a brand new 6.5 horse 212 hf predator. i can,t seem to get this thing to idle lower, wants to take off when you start up. throttle is hooked up right , put on an extra return spring, after turning the idle screw down, nothing seems to happen. any advice out there? don,t know if i like this motor!

Sure the throttle cable isn't too tight?

cable to tight could cause idle problem? seems like that lever should be back to turtle setting as far as possible?

If it's not letting it come all the way back, it could.

A nice close up pic of the set up might help us to see whats going on.

oiled the clutch, so far way better, hope thats all it is, thanks for help
