I have heard of something having to be done to the lifter area when using billet lifters, what has to be done? and would I have to do any mods at all if I am using stock length billet lifters? and at what point should you use billet lifters? :shrug:
Clay, you need to chamfer the hole in the lifter bore. So when it slides in the block, the larger radius in the stem doesn't bind. I'm not sure if stock length differ or not. Try comparing pics but I'd say they need it if they are billet.
Okay, because the billet lifters have more of a taper going up towards the rod part and the stock lifter are flat, is that right? :shrug: Sorry I didn't exactly explain it very well.
