There's a bracket on the engine behind the drive torque converter, and the cover has two bolts there that hold it in place. that's the key bracket. bit then there's a two bolt bottom bracket that goes around the footpeg mount. and then there's an S hook that goes around the down tube of the frame to the cover. personally, i never install that S hook, but that's me. also a lot of times i won't install the footpeg bracket either. but if you ride your bike a lot, it could crack the cover if you're just using the engine bracket to hold the TC cover in place.
