Lightened flywheel for charging coil?

#1
My friend and I are building performance 6.5's (fairly mild, 6000 RPM bursts). We do quite a bit of riding at night though, so we'd like to run a headlight. Does anyone make a lightened flywheel with the magnets in it for a charging coil? Has anyone had luck epoxying the magnets to an aluminum flywheel and keeping them on at high RPM's?

We are currently thinking of running a small battery total loss, but aren't sure what kind of run time we could get on the light without going to a big battery.

We discussed that, but LED's are great for making light, but not projecting it. So the headlight would make us visible to others, but wouldn't let us see very far.

That depends. I have a surefire tactical flashlight (led) and it might as well be a spotlight for how far it will go.
