MB 165 Carb: What Gives?

#1
I just bought 2 baja warrior mb200's with what I believe are mb165 engines. The bikes were used hard and I've slowly been fixing them up. I finally got to cleaning the carbs and when I pulled the first on off I discovered that the bowl was held on by what looks like a rivet rather that the normal 10mm bolt. The other carb has the same setup. What gives? Did some models come with non-serviceable carbs? I'll try to find my camera to get a photo of it.

Hey Earthy....welcome to the OldMiniBikes !

Not sure on the carbs, it seems the newer ones allow less servicing, and adjusting.

Big Rob, Ron, and Spencer all live up that way...do you know those guys ?

No, not yet, but I'm glad to hear there's folks around here that enjoy mini bikes as well.

Holy smokes!! Just checked the User map. Looks like Big Rob's marker is about 5 minutes from my place.
