I guys I'm new. I've been working on this motor since this spring. Just now getting it tuned and running. I use this as my outboard motor for my boat. It's a Predator 212 motor. I hit 6360 RPM, and the billet connecting rod and billet flywheel kept everything safe. Happy I took the time to put in a good rod and flywheel. It's easy to blow a motor and walk off the track, but if I blow a motor 30 mile down some swamp or out on the river amid winter, that ain't the time to be wishing you put in decent parts.

OldMiniBikes chipped in for the bulk of the build contributing $318 in go fast parts:

Anything over 5,000 RPM is awesome for a boat, especially since water is 800 times as dense as air. I documented the entire build on my YouTube channel. Didn't realize OldMiniBikes had forums. After the first start video I bought a 14cc head and a Mikuni 22mm carburetor. Most mud motor guys chunk the stock carburetor opt for something you'd find on a dirtbike or four wheeler as it seems better for the application.

(Again billet parts FTW!)

For now I'm running a MOD2 camshaft. It's better than stock, but not ideal. Black Mamba, Sr. is way better because boats spend more time in low to medium RPM range. Stock valves, stock length billet connecting rod, billet flywheel, 22mm Mikuni, 18 lbs spring, 14cc head, SPS Longtail mud motor kit.

Well, my sonar has gps. I cruised at 9 mph and topped out at 11mph before the mods. After the mods I was hitting 19 mph before I had the thing tuned well. It's probably over 20 mph now.

I want to get some head work done to the original 22cc head, big vales, shaved and all.
