Old Speedway? Or what?

I just got this last night. The guy I got it from said he received it in the condition you see in the pictures.

It kind of looks like an old Speedway to me. I had one years ago and this one has a few similarities. The forks, spine, the seat pan (what's left of it), and the swing arm.

The bike doesn't have the angled engine mount with the integrated jack shaft that I have seen on other Speedway bikes, nor the snaps around the seat pan. Unfortunately, the only other parts that came with it are a pair of rough 14" wire wheels.

It is a butchered speedway frame. Here is mine, unmolested ignore the swingarm as I made that one, it is nor original. Footpegs are the same as yours.

That looks like the same frame type as my old one.

Not sure if my fab skills are up to restoring this frame. May have to do a one off resto-mod. But at least now I know what brand of parts to look for.

Now to start going through the Speedway forums...
