"Perfectly" horizontal carburetor?

Using the intake manifold that came with my Loncin 125cc horizontal four-stroke will result in the carburetor intake end being high, with its bore being at an angle of about 17deg from horizontal. I guess that must be OK because that is the way the manufacturer designed it. Any thoughts?

Well, if it runs ok it's good, or so they say. I didn't like the idea of mine being out of level with a slanted motor mount, so I made a new intake to not only level it, but to direct it to the rear. I wasn't crazy about an air cleaner sticking out past the blower cover. If ya got the skills and the tools, make it to suit ya.

At 1 G of acceleration or deceleration the fuel in the bowl is at 45 degrees.

So I doubt you will see a problem
