Performance air filter for 5 HP Pulsa-jet carb

Hello all, I am looking for a less restrictive alternative to the stock foam filter on the pulsa-jet carb. Has anyone had any luck fitting a K&N type filter on a minibike. My searches don't seem to be turning much up.

I've been looking at these:

6899

But I think there would be clearance issues on a Bonanza or similar frame. Any ideas or pictures of your setups on stock carbs would be appreciated.

Thank you for the replies. I came up with an idea from this and another post. If it works out, I'll try to post some pictures.
