Picked up a Westbend 580

Has strong compression. Have not ran it yet. What's the oil ratio mix? O.k. to use Stihl synthetic 2-cycle engine oil? Premium fuel?Anyone know the year of this motor? Approximate HP?

I'm thinking 25 parts gasoline and 1 part 2 cycle oil. the newer high grade synthetics, the new oils can mix 30 to 1

That is a nice 580. The header is great. How much do you want for it.

58007 is 4.0 HP @ 5500 rpm. The Go Power intake is good for about 1 Horse. They were built in 1959. What model carburetor? Tillotson HL ?

It's an HL carb

Those are the High/Low needles. If it is an HL carb, it should be stamped on the flange side closest to the engine

Good carburetor, they came on the early West Bend 610/820 series. One inch throttle bore, 3/4 inch venturi. Nice carburetor for that 580.
