Rupp roadster 2

I just picked up a nice rupp roadster 2.
It's a pretty complete bike, running condition, frame was repainted.
But I have no serial tag. Looking for ideas?

Do I buy other frame and swap it over, just buy a used decal if someone had a junk frame?


Does the serial number tell you much like the year model and color it originally was?

The serial number sticker is under the seat foam on the seat pan. Just in case you didn't know. Welcome to OldMiniBikes:thumbsup:

I've seen them, But I have no old tag to go off, how would they have serial numbers for those tags?

Okay who's the rupp guy here?

I was looking at getting the serial tag from eBay and from rupp parts.com

I found a purple roadster2 on YouTube that the serial number stared with a C.
Since the bike is purple it should be a 1971


According to rupp parts.com, they have the 1970 tag with a C
Any insight on how to read the serial tag and what's right?

you say yours has been painted, might be a good idea to post up a pic of your bike showing parts like the rear sprocket, and the tires and the date code numbers off the engine. the later bikes did not have the ID decals from what I have seen it, could be a repainted 73-up bike.
