Snowblower tires and no brakes!

#1
OK. I'm new at this. I feel the need to ramble a bit.

I found a Keystone frame. Pretty much ready to go with no motor.

That sat waiting. I just picked up a running bike (black one in photo) that worked but had no brakes. I realized when I got it home it wasn't easy to find a 2 3/4 brake band to fit on the jack shaft and all I found were 4" ones. That was kind of a bummer. Plus, the snowblower tires and no shocks created quite a rough ride out in the pasture!

So I thought I would put the 3 HP engine on my nice Keystone frame that has brakes and shocks. But I had to replace the sprocket and couldn't find a match. I did find one the same size (on our host site ) and plan to drill to match assuming I can just clamp it to the old one and make some holes.

I haven't been much of a tinkerer, but I think it will be nicer to have the shocks and (obviously) some brakes so I hope this works out.
